What kind of web pages  are best for capturing leads for your Network Marketing Lead Generation System?  Having some kind of System provides your business with prospects – it’s a systematic way for you to find new prospects.   A Web page for capturing leads (called a Lead Capture Page) is also known as the Front End of your Sales or Marketing Funnel

A Very Simple Marketing Funnel

There are a few  choices of  what kind of Lead Capture Pages to use and of course you can use all of these if you want. The more places you have for people to opt-in to your offer, the bigger your list will grow. Here is a list of some of the types of Lead Capture pages you can have:

1. Host your own Lead Capture Page (also known as an Opt-in page or a Squeeze page).  Hosting your own  Lead Capture page is the most highly recommended and is what leaders use to build their lists of prospects online.   However, if you’re pretty new to the Internet, or you don’t like  techy things,  it can be a real challenge to create these pages   (more about this later).   Even if you do like “techy stuff”, it still wastes your time while you’re learning it.
2. A lot of Network Marketers join Network Marketing Systems because it’s much easier when you’re new.  These systems either build  (or assist you to build)  your Lead Generation system (including the Lead Capture Pages) for you.  There are systems like the
   • “Dream Team Formula”,
   • “7 Figure Networker System”,
   • “The Edge Marketing System”,
   • “Renegade Professional Training System”,
   • “MLM Lead System Pro”,
   • “Magnetic Sponsoring” and
   • lots of others.

   Most of these systems were initially developed by Network Marketing leaders who wanted to provide a system for their downline distributors to use. The systems became very popular, and the leaders created an affiliate program,  so anyone referring others to the system would receive commissions (more about these lead generation systems later).

3. You could generate leads just from your Blog by adding an Optin Form to your Blog, and perhaps have a Pop Up as your visitors leave (or just arrive) at your blog,  so you offer more encouragement to  visitors to opt-in to your list.  It’s important to have an Optin Form on your blog. However, when you’re advertising, it’s best to send people straight to your Lead Capture Page, where there are no other distractions.
4. Many Network Marketers send people to a Facebook page, (using Facebook Advertising) to capture their leads.
5. Some Network Marketers advertise their Network Marketing company distributor website and generate leads from there (provided the company has an “Opt-in form” on the website).  If the company doesn’t have an Opt-in form, it will be impossible to capture leads from that website.   If the company does have an Opt-in form, it will be the company doing the follow up and not you.

So, I’m going to discuss in more detail the First 2 types of Lead Capture web pages.

1. Hosting Your Own Lead Capture Pages

A “Lead Capture Page” is a web page that’s been designed specifically  to capture leads.   It will have a Heading at the top briefly describing what the web page visitor will get once he or she provides their details on the form provided on the web page.   There might be a video describing the “offer” and there may be some Bullet points below the opt-in form describing the offer in more detail.    Here’s an example of a “typical” Lead Capture page

It’s essential to offer something valuable and Free to inspire  your visitors to opt-in and become your lead.

Advantage to Hosting Your Own Lead Capture Pages

There are a number of advantages to hosting your own Lead Capture pages and most of these advantages apply to hosting your own blog also:

• You have full control over the web page, so it is always yours and will never be taken away from you.
• All the Links on your  page that go to other websites will be your links (whatever links you choose).
• You will look like a Leader because the page is owned by you and you are offering them something from YOU.
• You have full control over the “offer”, and all the follow up emails to your leads.

When you Host your own lead capture pages, you will purchase  your own Domain name and your own web hosting.   A domain name only costs about $11 a year, and you can get web hosting for about $5 a month, so it’s inexpensive.  The disadvantage of hosting your own lead capture pages, is learning how to design them and transfer them over to your web host.

How Do You Design This Web Page and Transfer It Over to Your Web Host?

1. You could learn to design this page yourself, but it will most likely waste a lot of your precious time.  Even with a computer science background like I have, I’ve wasted hours of time creating those pages.   You’ll require some knowledge of HTML or a “What You See Is What You Get” Editor to automatically create the HTML for you.   And, you’ll require some knowledge of   Transferring  your web pages over to your Web Host.
2. You could pay someone to  design the web pages for you, but you need to test the  web pages continuously, by changing each section of the page, until you get a  high conversion (lots of people filling out the Opt-in form).   It’s most likely easier in the long run, to be able to make those changes yourself.
3. 2. Using a Network Marketing System For Your Lead Capture Pages

A lot of Network Marketing Systems have been developed to make it easier for Network Marketers to generate their own leads.   These systems allow you to quickly and easily set up your  Lead Capture pages.   The advantages of these systems are:

1. VERY Easy to set up and only a  low learning curve required.
2. These systems usually provide excellent Internet Marketing training for their members.
3. Some systems allow you to customize the page with your video, your text and your links.
4. You can earn commissions when you refer someone else to the system (most of these systems have an affiliate program).

The disadvantages of these Marketing systems are:

1. You don’t have control over everything:
   • There will be (the majority of the time) links to websites that aren’t yours, so your visitors may click on those without becoming your lead.
   • The system is owned by someone else, so it could be taken away at any time.
   • The video on the page is someone else’s so it’s NOT focusing on you as the leader.
2. When YOUR visitor “opts in” at this Lead Capture page, they become your lead AND the Marketing system’s Lead.   So,  your visitor will start getting messages from a charismatic and experienced  Network Marketing leader, to which your lead could be attracted  (highly likely).   Therefore your lead is distracted from whatever you’re offering and  starts following this leader.   You might have a chance if you phone the lead, but it’s most likely that you won’t be seen as a leader yourself.
3. The market can become  saturated with advertising for this system, and eventually it won’t be so “attractive” because so many people are advertising it. It’s the “same old same old thing“.
4. Even if you use a system that allows you to completely customize the Lead Capture pages,  you are still losing control of your  asset.
5. You have to pay a membership fee each month for this system, and once you stop paying, you will lose all your Lead capture pages.
