Video Marketing is becoming easier all the time – I just found this “very easy” tool called Screenr, where you can do screencasts. A Screencast is a way of capturing anything on your PC or Mac screen that you’re doing, or want to show to others.

I won’t tell you how to use it, because they have a little 1 minute video showing you. To access Screenr, see their website URL at the end of this post.

Make it easy for searchers to find your website

As you know, Google is still number one when it comes to visitors finding your websites. And, it’s easy (when you know how) to get some of those visitors coming to you!   It just takes a little knowledge and a bit of work.

And, once you’ve done the work, it can be there for a long time!

I started learning how to get traffic from the search engines back in 2008 and the strategies haven’t changed that much. They still work the same way!

If you’re new to Internet Marketing, and trying to put all the pieces together, this post should help you do that.  All the things you’re learning, like what websites to use, how to use an auto-responder and how to build your list are really important.

However,  we need to fit all these  pieces together, kind of like a jigsaw puzzle. And, what brings all those different pieces together are two concepts called “Attraction Marketing” and “Personal Branding”.

One thing really stands out in this industry, and especially on the Internet, and, that is – There can be 2 people taking similar actions and generating say 3 leads each day, and yet they have an entirely different sign up rate. The biggest difference between those 2 people is “the person themselves”.

Now, I know that sounds weird, but this is what happens with Attraction marketing. People will sign up in an MLM business with those they are attracted to.  However, it’s more than just having a common interest or liking the person. That IS part of it, but not all of it.

Hear me out okay

There’s some physchology around why someone chooses to join one person and not another, even if they’re in the same company. There are some kind of phsychological triggers causing a person to sign up with a particular sponsor over all the other people they could’ve signed up with in that company.

If one person is generating leads but not following up with their leads (and I don’t mean calling and “closing” the leads) and the other person IS following up, then it’s going to make a huge difference.

By “following up” I mean teaching people valuable things that will  make a difference in their lives.

Attraction Marketing is all about attracting people to you.

Instead of you having to go after people  and create  interest and chase them, people will be coming to YOU and to join up with you. Their decision will be based on the information you’ve given them and it ties into personal branding because a big part of attraction is being able to create that brand for yourself. It’s about you establishing yourself as someone who has VALUE to offer your prospects.

Offering value to people’s lives is the way You Attract people to YOU

Giving value is a very important part of Attraction marketing and personal branding. Take Nelson Mandela for example, he gave everything he had (even by giving up years of his life with family and friends) for his country. When he was finally released from prison, his fellow country people eventually elected him as their President. He was seen as a leader because of all the value he gave to people, and that caused people to be attracted to him.

Nelson Mandela is an extreme example, but it shows that people respect those who give value to them. Have you ever felt like giving to someone who’s selfish? Probably not. However, those who ARE giving and unselfish will attract value to themselves, it’s the way the universe works.

So, if you’re new to the internet, you might be asking what can you give to your prospects?

Giving value could mean teaching your prospects about things like personal  development or mindset, about leadership development, or principles about relationship building or about how to generate leads or some kind of marketing strategy, or traffic generation.

Whatever you learn about, write that in your own words and send it to your list. There aren’t many leaders who come up with new ideas themselves, instead they teach things they have learned elsewhere. When you write it in your own words, you’re creating your own brand.

Whatever value you are giving people, they will remember that and realise that it’s you who is causing different changes in their lives, and causing them to be able to do something they couldn’t do before. People will see you as a teacher and a leader, and they’ll realise you’re giving them a lot of value.

And, many of those people will want to work with you because they know you can help them do whatever they’re wanting to do at that time. If you’re consistently offering value to people, they’ll realise you’re the one who can help them.

The best part about all this, is that it’s soooo easy. Remember I wrote about autoresponders in another message, and how easy they are to use. Once you have an auto-responder, you can easily just write up an email about something you just learned, and send it to your prospects. As you learn new things, you can write about it, and pass it on. Or better still, create a video of yourself teaching people about this new concept you’ve just learned.

This will all fall into place easily for you. Even if you’ve failed at everything you’ve done before, you still know a LOT. You know what doesn’t work and you can share that with people.

Think about what you’ve been learning lately, just by reading blog posts and whatever newsletters you are getting.   How many other people in the world don’t know what you’ve just read  about attraction marketing. You can package it up in your own way, and share it with others.

If you give lots of value to people, naturally it comes back to you. So, if you want more people signing up in your business, then give value to people and the universe will reward you by giving back to you.

There’s a lot of resources where you can learn more about using attraction marketing and branding yourself. And, you will find as you learn that it will all piece together nicely. Just focus on learning and sharing your knowledge with others, and you will build your own brand, and attract people to your business.

It’s easy to “Auto Pilot” your business with technology.

If you’re doing what all successful Internet Marketers do, and marketing your Lead Capture pages rather than your Company website,  it’s easy to automate a lot of your marketing.

A “lead capture page” is known as the “front end” of your m’arketing, it’s the way you obtain information from your leads and build your list.

All successful Internet Marketers agree that “building a list” and ”following up with their list” is how they became successful.

Build a list of people who want whatever you are offering,  follow up with valuable and profitable resources, and then sell your products and services to your  list!   That’s what internet marketers do, and it’s what Network Marketers can do also.

You have probably heard the saying “The Money is in YOUR List“.

Even traditional Network Marketers talk about building lists (except they build a different kind of list from their warm market).

The list you want to build on the internet is completely different from your Warm Market List.

The difference is that on the Internet, you can build a list of  people who WANT to get the information you’re offering them.  And, it’s soooo much easier to convert prospects if they’re wanting what you have to offer in the first place.

This list will become your biggest asset.

Remember how I said it’s NOT a good idea to send your prospects to your company site?

Even if your company follows up with your prospects from that site, YOU have NO control over what they write to your prospects.

Your company will write all about the company’s history, and what they do, and about the products. But none of that information will build YOUR relationship with the prospect.

Not only that, the prospect can obtain that information from any other distributor’s website.

Important to Build a Relationship with Your Prospects

It’s really important that you have control over the information given to your prospects because that’s how you build a relationship with them.

And, as all Network marketers agree, we’re in the relationship building b’usiness. Some “old school” networkers think the internet is not the place to build relationships.

Personally, I don’t agree with that and neither do hundreds and thousands of other people. I have met some of my best friends on the Internet. These are friends I can call whenever
I want and talk to them about anything.

Also, what about all the dating services on the internet now?

There are sooooo many people who’ve met their spouse online, and now have families and loving relationships. There are more ways to get to know people online than there are offline, and I’ve found I actually get to know people better by written correspondence, than by talking.

Anyway, getting back to the subject…

So, you have this list of people who’ve opted into your  page, how do you follow up with them?

Well, there is this piece of amazing technology called an “Autoresponder”.

This is a tool you set up with “follow up” messages that get sent out automatically at pre-defined intervals.

Or, you can send out a “broadcast” to the whole list (or even different people within the list, perhaps based on when they opted in. The broadcast is a more current message that you’ve written recently.

You might send a broadcast just before the weekend, or on a holiday, or when you have just launched a special product, or when there is some event you want to tell your list about.

Autoresponders are one of the best inventions ever on the internet.  You can create a campaign (a series of email messages) once, and it will pay you for the rest of your life.

In your follow up campaign, if you provide people with valuable information, they will want to purchase your products and/or join your team and work with you. You will be building a
relationship with these people.

When you first get started on building your list, just create one or two messages, then write the others later on.

There are some systems on the internet you can use, which allow you to copy and paste their follow up campaigns.

However, I highly recommend that you ALWAYS rewrite those campaigns in your own words,
and put in your personal information.

It will pay off big time for you, if you take the time to re-write the messages in your own words. That way, you will build a relationship with your list, and people will get to know YOU.

If you just send people messages written by someone else, they will never get to know you.

So… that’s how you can follow up with your leads!  Just use the simple, easy to use technology available,  and you’re on your way to building a large and profitable Network Marketing business.

Imagine for a moment, that you’re looking for a new Network Marketing company to join. You have no idea how to market the business once you get started, so you are looking for a business opportunity where someone will help YOU to be successful.

You start searching on Google and see an advert that looks interesting.

When you click on the advert, you’re taken to a website which talks about the company and the products.

Website 1 about The Company and The Products

The website gives a lot of “generic type” information about a Network Marketing company, and a lot of information about all the products they sell.

However, there is no information about the people you would be working with, if you did choose to join.  There’s nothingabout a marketing system you could use to help you be successful  And there’s no place where you can request more information about how you would market this business.

You’ve heard of the company and the products before, and would like to do that business.  However…. you are looking for someone who will assist you. And, this website doesn’t say anything about helping you to market the business.   The only thing this website shows about a person, is the distributor’s name and contact details.

Over the past year, you’ve already been with a few other Network Marketing companies, but you couldn’t work out how to market them successfully.

Have you just started your blog or thinking about starting to market online?

And, you’re not really sure what you’re going to blog about?

If you’re a Network Marketer and you want to promote your business opportunity or your products, decide first of all, which of those you want to talk about.

Your products OR your opportunity?

One mistake that many network marketers make, is to try and market both on one website.  Marketing 2 completely different products/services  makes it really hard for people to find your website.

Next, think about what problems people have that your product or opportunity could solve.

With regard to your “Business Opportunity”, that’s easy.

People have problems like…

• how can I make more money,
• how can I market my business,
• how do I generate leads?
• how do I build a marketing system so I can have more free time?
• what business should I join?

So, instead of marketing your business opportunity, you can help people solve the problems they are having.

When people are looking for someone they want to join in a Network marketing business, they look for someone who can help them.

They are looking for valuable information and if YOU provide that information, they will be want to look at your opportunity.    You will be a Valuable Resource and a Valuable Teacher.

Providing valuable information also gives you a LOT more to write about!

Imagine if all you have to write about, is your biz opp – you soon run out of things to say. Plus, it becomes boring!

I remember way back when I first started network marketing, and my upline had screeds and screeds of stuff about the company.  We emailed it out to people. Fair enough, people want to know about the company!

But, they want to know about WHO they’re joining first!

What if you want to Market your Company’s Products or Services?

The same thing applies when you’re marketing products/services – your prospective customers want to see that the product or service will provide a solution to one of their problems.

So, think about the problems your product can solve and create a blog related to those problems.

For example, if you sell healthy pet food, you could have a blog centered around pets and their health.   Advertise your product on the blog, and have swarms of people coming to read all the stuff you have to say about their precious pets’ health!

Imagine how much more you’ll have to write about, and you can involve your readers in discussions also.  It will be lots of fun!

Write in the comments below, telling me what your business and products are.  Then, I’ll come up with some ideas for a website you could start.

Are you one of the hundreds (more like thousands) of people who are wanting to make it in the Network marketing industry on the internet?

Maybe you’ve been working offline and you’ve had some success or maybe you’ve had no success at all, and you would love to build a huge business on the Internet.

Obviously, there ARE network marketers who are doing really really well on the Internet.

And, there are LOTS of network marketers who are making m’oney, but not nearly as much as they should be!

And there are others who just haven’t found the right path just yet, and are not making any money.

Let me tell you a little about my journey on the internet over the last few years. This story isn’t all about me though, you can learn a lot from it also:-)

I got lucky and I got lazy all at the same time!!

You see, if you want to build your network marketing business on the internet, there are all different groups of people you can market products or opportunities to.

For example,

• You could target people who are looking to join someone in your company.
• You could target Network marketers who are looking for a way to build their business online.
• You could target people who are new to network marketing and looking for an opportunity.

Attraction Marketing is also  Relationship Marketing

Quite a few years ago, “Attraction Marketing” had a different name. We used to call it “Relationship Marketing”, but it was the same thing.

A group of us had been growing our businesses by “building relationships” with people in different communities.

There was one community around at that time, which was for people who believed in the Law of Attraction, and wanted to learn more about it.

I was one of the co-founders of that community and was very active there. I spent way too much time there, as a volunteer building the community for other people. I had blogs and forums and participated a lot!

And as a result, I was easy to find on the Internet! I had pictures up of all my scuba diving trips, and of holidays I had been on.

I had a little story about me and my family on my “home page”.

So, people could get to know me easily. And, I attracted people to my business. One person I attracted was actually looking for someone in my company to join, and has since gone on to attract over 4 thousand people into his own business (and mine).

So…. that’s where I got lazy!!

I thought just getting out there giving value in communities and being myself was enough!

So, for a few years that’s what I did and it was fun! I also learned how to attract customers so I sold a reasonable amount of company products during that time.

However, over the last few months, I’ve realised that I’ve just been “pussy footing around” all this time, and I could do much better. Sure, I’ve been lucky and made some m’oney, but I want to do MUCH more than that!

I was lazy because I didn’t get serious about following up with people (by building a list).

I never bothered to work out my sales funnel, so I’ve been missing huge opportunities.

Attraction Marketing is  More than Just Giving Value to Others

Over the years I’ve come to understand that “Attraction Marketing” means much more than just putting yourself out there, and attracting people to you. It works that way to some extent, but there are actions you can take to make it work even better. It’s no good just giving value to people and never asking for anything in return.

It IS VERY important to “be out there” giving value to people, like I’ve been doing.

However, there are other important pieces to the puzzle also.  You can’t just continue giving value to people and expect things to “just happen”.

The following things are also a very important part of Internet Network Marketing:

• Provide a way to continue your relationship with people who come across you at forums, communities and your blog (i.e. Build your List).
• Plan how you’re going to make money online – look at how you’re Marketing (or sales) funnel will work.
• And, work out how you’re actually going to launch your products or opportunity or whatever you’re planning to make money from.

Blogging has been around for many years now, and there are now huge numbers of bloggers having a lot of success.

Many of those bloggers are Network marketers, and those who give away stuff are the most successful. Of course, when you give away stuff, make sure you also have your sales funnel in place. Otherwise, you’re not going to make any money from blogging.

So… is commenting a good thing or a bad thing?

The answer is…. it depends on how you do it.

If you just write a very short kind of lame comment saying something like “love your article it’s very good”, then you’re not going to get much traffic going back to your blog.

However, if you make meaningful comments on other people’s blogs, and people see those comments as valuable, you will get a lot more visitors wanting to visit your blog and find out more information.

How Your Comments Can Lead to Better Visitors to Your Blog

If you post meaningful comments on other people’s blogs, you can build much better relationships with visitors to those blogs. When you take the time to contribute to that blog by commenting in a way that contributes to the conversation – more people will value your comment.

Getting bookmarks, re-tweets, links and social media “likes” and votes is the way that content spreads – that’s they way you get decent traffic that really matters.

Is it Important to Be the First Commentator?

Being the first to comment on a blog, especially an influential blog, can get you more visitors back to your blog.

However, if you have to watch your Google alerts or Google Reader most of the day (or night), to be the first, do you think it’s really worth it? Isn’t it better to focus on creating your own great content?
