When you are starting your Internet and Network Marketing Opportunity (Multi-Level Marketing), mingle with people who are the best at this. Like-minded people who have lots of energy and are motivated just as you are. But how do you go about doing this?

What is Relationship Marketing?

Unlike the ancient marketing styles of selling yourself through flyers, sales talks, door-to-door visits and the like, Relationship marketing allows you to bond with your leads, make your product easy for them to acquire, all in an interesting way. The idea is not to push your concept onto the prospective lead but rather draw them in. You want to work efficiently and not bang your head against the wall with methods that have proven to be less than affective in the past.

Avoid ambiguity and forcing people to buy from you. Give them an irresistible choice to choose your products and services. Think of methods or messages which will allow you to “pull” potential customers in rather than repelling them. Deliver a message that is memorable, understandable, and usable.

Also it is helpful to not just simply think of yourself as a marketer, but rather as a “Personal Relations Consultant or Expert.” You are then no longer required to think from your own perspective but from the crucially important aspect of your lead, prospect or customer’s vantage point. You can ask yourself questions like, “What will my customer get from this product?”, “How can I help them understand this more?” You will find that you will attract a lot more people once you stop thinking around yourself and start focusing on other people and satisfying their needs. This will help you create a connection between you and your client and it is such connections that are immensely important for your business.

How will Attraction Marketing Expand my MLM Business?

To expand your business, Relationship Marketing is essential. When you own a business, you automatically become a leader. It is your leadership skills that will make people choose to be part of your business and not necessarily the quality of the products you have in your MLM business. Your leads and prospects look to you as a leader, so you must behave like one. It is important to teach your prospects rather than deliver empty and ineffective sales speeches. Building a relationship of trust and respect will put you in the position of leadership and you will have greater influence over others. Send “how to” messages and make an effort to connect with each prospect in order to strengthen the relationships within your Internet and Network Marketing business.

If your Internet and Network Marketing business is new or you’re new to the concept of “Attraction Marketing” or “Relationship Marketing”, the words “brand yourself” might seem a little strange. All it means is that rather than market your opportunity, you will market YOURSELF online as a leader – that way you will be someone who can teach others to be successful.

For example, you could set yourself up as an expert in:

• Teaching Moms or Dads how to build a business or
• Teaching young adults how to make money online,
• If you’re a Grandparent, you could teach grandparents.
• You might love health and nutrition, and fitness, and want to work in that area.
• Or, you might be a musician, and want to market to others who love a particular kind of music.

Of course, you should find a target market where you want to work, something your passionate about it, so you’re motivated at all times.

So, what is a Target Market?

A “Target Market” is a specific group of people you want to attract as prospects, customers and leaders for your business. Make sure you find a particular group of people who love (or do) the same thing you’re passionate about. That way, you can be authentic in your marketing. If you haven’t worked out your target market yet, I recommend working that out before doing anything else for your business!

Leverage off your Team

While you’re becoming an expert within your target market group, you can leverage off other people’s content to start making money. It’s a tremendous help to you, if someone in your team has something you can leverage off.

However, if your sponsor is like mine, and doesn’t use the internet to build his/her business, then you will need more time to learn things yourself. You may want to set up your own system for yourself and for your team. This will pay off tremendously, once you have it in place.

Build Assets for your Business

There are lots of different ways you can build your brand on the Internet and build assets for yourself at the same time. However, you’re much better off in the long run, to create YOUR brand and generate your own leads from your target market.

The list of leads YOU generate will be your biggest asset, provided you Follow Up and nurture them. Some examples of other Online assets you will have, are websites, blogs, your articles, your E-books, and your “self-created” videos.

When you Brand Yourself you will start Creating Assets which generate even more income

Assets generate income continuously (this is also called residual income), so it’s best to build as many online assets as you can. You will begin to influence people as part of your branding, so you attract them to YOU. This is not about you chasing people, it’s about them coming to YOU. It’s what Attraction Marketing is about.

Think about the way a Rock n Roll band “brands themselves” and attracts fans. However, for your business, you don’t need to be able to sing or play music, but just BE yourself and some people will like you, some won’t.

When people become part of your network marketing team, they’re not just joining because of your company, they are joining YOU. So, you have to build your value. Once my husband John, and I learned about Attraction Marketing, it literally changed our lives. We started having more fun and relaxing, instead of working all the time. John already loved to relax and have fun, and he spent years trying to get me to have more fun also. I thought I had to work extremely hard before I could be successful.

I’m not saying you don’t have to work, I’m just saying you can have fun while you’re working and leverage your time. With the internet, you can set things up, then go off and have fun, while your marketing systems are working for you. Especially if you have your marketing plan in place and a lead generation system all worked out for your business.

I have given you an overview of branding yourself and how this will work for your internet and network marketing business. As you brand yourself within a particular market, and create assets, your team and your online business will grow enormously!

How’s your new year going so far? Mine is great, except it’s taking me awhile to get back into the swing of things, in regard to my Internet Network Marketing business. Does that happen to you after you’ve been on a long vacation?

Do you Feel a bit Overwhelmed Sometimes?

Sometimes I think it must be pretty overwhelming for someone just staring out on the internet these days. When I first started there weren’t so many choices, and it was much easier!

So, my mission (if you like), is to make it as easy as possible for you!

Now that we’re in a new year, are you wondering which way to advertise your websites, and you’re just not sure? There are so many ways to market, how do you choose between them all?

There’s article marketing, ezine marketing, blogging, videos, facebook, launches, and so many more. Over the next few months, I’m going to be giving you details on each one, just in case you haven’t heard of them all.

And, the best thing to do, if you’re just starting out, or if you’ve been “around” for awhile, and your’e feeling overwhelmed, is….

Choose the strategy that you feel best about.

Read about a strategy, then take a step back and ask yourself.. How do I feel about doing this? When you ask yourself that question, you’ll most likely get an answer back from that little voice inside your head.

Keep going through each strategy until you find one that gives you a good feeling.
Then, stick with that strategy until you’ve mastered it. Don’t move onto another one unless it feels good to do that.

Once you’re making some m’oney, and you feel like a particular strategy is really important, you can do that one! And, if it really doesn’t feel good, get some help.

Either pay someone to coach you, or pay someone to do it for you, or at least help you with it.

For example, Does the idea of creating videos seem scary?

You might find the idea of creating videos really scary. And, video marketing is one of the most influential and effective things to do, both to for your marketing and for branding yourself.

So, if you’re apprehensive about video marketing, then find someone who can inspire you to take baby steps toward making your own videos. Once you’ve got over that fear, it will be easy!

If you’re using Facebook Marketing for your Network Marketing  Business (or any other business), Here’s a great way to show your friends and followers your valuable Status Updates (or posts) on your Facebook profile or Page, and also to get extra visitors to your Facebook page. Also, bookmarking your posts will allow the Search Engines to find your Facebook Posts/Updates more easily, giving you even more visitors.

You can Copy the URL of Individual Posts (also called Status Updates) and Bookmark those posts at different Social Bookmarking Sites.

Here’s some simple steps for bookmarking one of your Facebook Posts at Digg.com

Under each of your Facebook Posts (or Status updates), there is a timestamp. When you first post your update, it will say something like “2 seconds ago”. See the Image below, for an example of a Timestamp on one of my posts. Click on that Timestamp and Facebook will take you to the Single Post – it has a special URL, which is a separate web page just for that Single Post and all of it’s comments. See below this image for a picture of what the URL looks like

See the Image below? It shows the URL for a single Post. Highlight that URL and copy it to your Clipboard (to copy use Ctrl C or Right Click for a pop up menu and select Copy )    

Go to Digg.com and Log into your account. If you don’t have a Digg account, sign up to Digg and create your profile.
See the diagram below: Where it says “Submit a Link”,
Paste ( Ctrl V ) your URL Link into that box on your Digg Profile.

Once you’ve pasted your URL into the “Submit a Link” box, your post will look similar to what you can see in the Image below. Select a Post Topic  from the Pull down box and click on the “Digg It” button

Now you’ve submitted one of your posts to Digg so all your Digg followers can see it, and lots more people on Digg will see it. This will give you more visitors to your Facebook post, plus it will help the search engines to Index your posts, giving you even more visitors.

Video Marketing is becoming easier all the time – I just found this “very easy” tool called Screenr, where you can do screencasts. A Screencast is a way of capturing anything on your PC or Mac screen that you’re doing, or want to show to others.

Video marketing is an very powerful strategy for your Network Marketing business (or any other kind of business). Videos are the closest way to connect to people and create a powerful connection that lasts a long time.

As I mentioned in my previous post it’s important to choose a marketing strategy you feel good about So, if video is not your choice right away, then choose something else and come back to video later.

Insert URL to your Squeeze Page Under Video

Have your Marketing Funnel set up first

Before  selecting any marketing strategy, it’s best to set up your marketing funnel.  Whatever marketing strategy you choose, it should promote  your “Squeeze page” or “Opt in” page, so you can generate leads from your Video Marketing.

Some of The Advantages of Video Marketing are

1. You can shoot a video anywhere – underwater while scuba diving, at the beach, in the car, in your garden with the birds singing, in your backyard, in the pool, while ski-ing, while traveling and while on vacation.

2. People get to know you in a video, so you will start building your brand.

3. You can reach a far wider audience with a video than you can by speaking one on one with people. It’s rather like being in a seminar or at a conference, except you don’t have to be scared because no-one is watching you while you’re filming.

4.  Creating videos is totally free if you already have a camera. Posting them on the internet is totally free if you already have an internet connection.

5. Videos can become viral, as people pass them round to others.

6. Taking videos and posting to the internet is very low technology and easy to do.

7. You can demonstrate to one person or millions of people, how to perform a task on the computer.  Just take a video of yourself performing that task.   Use some free software called Jing to capture 5 minute videos or use Camtasia for longer videos

8. Your videos can get you a lot of visitors to your website, thereby creating a lot of leads for your business.

Short videos or Long ones?
Because people are busy and can’t always watch a long video, you can do really short 1-2 minute videos that provide people with information to help them solve a problem. For example, you might teach them about relationship marketing or explain why online marketing is effective.    Always  put your Squeeze Page URL and a call to action, underneath your video.

Being in front of the camera is best, but if you really can’t bring yourself to do that at first, there’s other ways to make videos.

Here are six different ways you can create your own videos:

1. Create slides using something like Microsoft Powerpoint or the equivalent on a Macintosh, and add music or your own voice as background. Save these slides as images and import them into a movie maker program. Both PCs and Macintoshes include free software for you to make your own movies ready to publish on the internet. Slides are great for video creating novices, especially if you’re a little shy about showing your face.
2. Make photos of your products or whatever you do, into a video by adding them to a movie maker program. Add some background music to the photos or add your own voice and you have another video.
3. There are Software programs which allow you to capture your actions on the computer to create an educational video. You can have your face showing in a small corner of the screen, or don’t have your face at all.
4. Go down the beach with a friend and just say hello and talk about the beautiful views and the waves. This is a great way to start off with your “showing your face” videos, like in the first video my hubby and I did below..
   
5. If you are a scuba diver, or a keen sportsperson, get someone to video tape you. When you get home, import the video into your movie maker program and tape yourself talking about the movie.
6. Do an interview with a leader in your industry and ask them questions, with the video recorder on.

There are lots more different kinds of videos. Be creative and think of other ways also. Here are some tips for any type of video you create.

• Keep all videos less than ten minutes in length so that more video broadcast sites will accept them.
• Create an image to insert into each end of the video. On the image, type the title of your video and your website URL, with a call to action. This way, people can go to your website after watching the video, and you will generate your own leads.    Here’s an example of a picture I insert at the end of some of my videos..

• Most movie creation software will allow you to insert a watermark on your video. The watermark should be your website URL or your phone number in some situations.
• Submit your video to different broadcasting sites on the internet.  Some broadcast sites are YouTube, Google videos, Viddler, Dailymotion, Photobucket, and there are many more.

Following on from my blog post on Optimizing your MLM Business opportunity blog here’s another way to optimize your blog.

You can add a meta description to your blog. The meta description is what comes up in searches on Google. As an example, if I go to google.com and search on the words “baby shoes”, below is the top listing that comes up on the page.  See image below.

Title of Your Blog
The first line of the listing above is the Title. The title is the most important line that google looks for, so you should have your keywords in your title on your blog.

To place a blog title on your WordPress.org blog go to “Settings, General” (from your dashboard).

Description of your Blog

The description is the next 2 or 3 lines in the listing above. Search engines may display the Meta-description you’ve specified, or they may display text on one of your web pages. Make sure your description has your keywords and inspires people to “click” on your link when they see it listed on the search engines. The easiest way to get an optimized description on your blog, is to install a Plug-in application. The plug-in will allow you to type in the title, description and keywords for your blog.

One Good plugin is All In One SEO

Meta tags are your keywords.
They are not as important to google these days, but other search engines may take notice of them.

Hello, I’m 2000 kilometres away from home right now, visiting with my daughter and young grand-children, and my parents. This is a photo of  my grand-children Danny and Emily, taken about this time last year.

I actually wrote this post just before I left home and have scheduled it so you receive my message closer to Christmas.

So…. I wish you a very Merry Christmas (that’s if you celebrate it of course) and a VERY prosperous and happy New Year to you and your family.

Are you like me and often “make” yourself do things because you think they “have” to be done?  

Lately, I’ve been thinking about doing stuff that feels good, rather than “making” myself do things I don’t really want to do at that time.

When I do that, it takes me sooo much longer to complete the task, and not only that, I don’t feel really good while I’m doing it.

On the other hand, if I do things when I’m feeling good and inspire to do them, I get them done in half the time.

A lot of people (especially network marketers:-) say we “have” to get out of our comfort zone, to achieve success.

However, I firmly believe that if we get out of our comfort zone without actually feeling good about it, whatever we’re doing doesn’t work that
well!

For example, if you’ve  been an online entrepreneur for a short time, and everyone is saying “you must do video marketing”. “Get out of your comfort zone and just do it”.

And, IF you have this fear of being in front of the camera, and you make yourself “do it”, it most likely won’t turn out very good.

So Take Baby Steps

Take small steps that move you towards what you want to achieve.  You could start off by making a video “behind the camera”.  That way, you’re
only talking and showing people how to do something you’ve just learned. It could be your first step  towards making a video, without actually being in
front of the camera.

Another great way to get used to the camera,  is to go somewhere that you love, and take a video of yourself (and others if you like),  just saying hello and introducing yourself!

My  hubby and I made our first video by the beach, and it now  has over 2,000 views over at YouTube. I was a bit nervous  at the time, and now I really enjoy doing videos.

Now, you might also love doing video  marketing, I’m just using that as an example.  If there’s something that you want to be  able to do, but it’s way out of your comfort  zone…. Then take baby steps until you  feel better about it.

My little one year old grand-daughter, wasn’t ready to walk last time I saw her.  She takes a few  steps on her own and loves to walk  holding someone’s hand, but doesn’t want to walk on her own. Obviously, she didn’t
feel good about it yet, and she will walk  when she’s ready.

If you’re using your blog to help promote your MLM Business Opportunity, then you really should optimize it for your keywords, as much as possible.    If you search for something on Google, you’ll notice that  websites with the keywords in their URL, that you used to search,  appear close the the top of the sites google finds.

Try it and see what I mean!   For example,  a friend of mine, who’s name is Val Wilcox, has a blog named  http://www.ValWilcox.com Go to Google.com,  type in Val Wilcox, and Val’s blog is the very first in the listings.   Of course, if the keywords you put in your domain name are competitive,  your site won’t appear in the 1st position so easily.

There is something you can do on your wordpress blog, to give your site a better chance of appearing when someone searches for specific keywords.   You should have your keywords in your Permanent links as much as possible.

On a blog, a “permanent link” is  the URL of your Blog Post.   Here is one way you can get more keywords in your permanent links.

Customize Your Permanent Link Structure on WordPress

1. Log into the admin area of your blog.
2. From the left hand side menu of  the Dashboard,  go to “Settings” and select Permalinks, as show in the Image to the right.
3. From the “Permalinks Settings” follow the instructions on the  image below:
   

Now, if you use keywords for your categories, and put keywords in your titles, you will have a very good chance of getting seen on the search engines for those keywords. Of course, this assumes that your keywords are not highly competitive.
