What is Twitter?
The original service was envisioned by co-inventors Biz Stone and Even Williams to be a “friend stalker”. I don’t think the inventors realized how huge Twitter would become.
If you want to know what your friends are doing, just subscribe to their micro-updates during the day, and you’ll know who they’re with, where they are, what they’re doing and even what successes or failures they’re experiencing. This might sound scary, and not everyone writes on twitter often enough for you to know all that!
TWITTER AS A MARKETING TOOL
In my opinion, Twitter is the most important development since email and chat programs were invented. You can keep in touch with your Network marketing team, your business prospects (or potential prospects), your customers, and anyone else you would like to know better. The CEO of our network marketing company is on Twitter, and send updates and news nearly every day. It’s a great way to keep in touch instantly, with what’s going on.
ACTION STEPS FOR USING TWITTER
1) Sign up for an account (watch the video below) and start following just a few users. (I will list some great people to follow who are in the Internet Marketing and Network Marketing space).
2) As you read what people are tweeting, ask yourself whether you think they’re interesting, or if you’re bored and not sure why they’re tweeting. All tweets are constrained to 140 characters, so ask yourself if they’re telling you what you want to know. If they have a few thousand followers, they are probably worth closely watching and analyzing.
3) Now, start sending out tweets of your own, and start publicizing your own Twitter address in the signature of your email. Engage in the conversations taking place (I show you how in the video) and make sure your focus is on contributing, not hype.
