The answer to this question depends on what company you’re with and the products you are marketing. Some network marketing companies provide a Product website for their distributors to market their products. If your company provides a good product site, that site may convert your visitors to customers better than a site you could build. In that case, you do not require your own store.
I know for myself, I built an online store (before learning the Web 2.0 techniques), and then I discovered that I was getting more customers from my company store, than the store I developed myself.
Having a blog dedicated to information about your company’s products is more important than a store. However, when writing anything on the Internet, be very careful to follow the policies and procedures of your company.
