Video Marketing is becoming easier all the time – I just found this “very easy” tool called Screenr, where you can do screencasts. A Screencast is a way of capturing anything on your PC or Mac screen that you’re doing, or want to show to others.

I won’t tell you how to use it, because they have a little 1 minute video showing you. To access Screenr, see their website URL at the end of this post.

The 3 minute video below shows you how to optimize (for Search Engines and YouTube itself) any videos you publish on YouTube. Click on the play button below, to watch the video.

This is sooo easy. If you’ve never done a video before, have a go! Then come back and give us the link to your Screenr. You can publish it to YouTube also.

Screenr can be accessed by clicking here

Hi Julieanne,

That’s such a cool video! Great job. Great tip to put your full URL into your description right at the beginning. That’s so important!

I use Jing and just recently heard about Sreenr but haven’t tried it yet. That’s so cool that they make it so easy for people to Tweet about it. I like that feature. Thanks for pointing it out. I’m going to have to try it.

Hi Deb, it is great little tool, I usually use Camtasia, but it’s much easier to just go and use one online for short videos.

Thanks for the video Julieanne,

I have used a couple of screencasting tools, but Screenr is definitely easy in terms of tweeting. It’s pretty convenient that it compresses the URL by automatically giving a bit.ly.

JulieAnne,
Thanks for sharing such a great (and FREE) tool with us. Like the use of your video and your tips. I’ve tried different ones, currently using Screenflow (for Mac), but haven’t really taken the time to master this way of sharing information with prospects fully yet. It’s definitely on my list.
Take care,
Adam

Hi Adam, you’re welcome. It’s a good thing to master, but it’s better to be a Master at one thing than a “Jack of all trades”.

I’ve been looking for a free tool that can capture video of your screen while you do things. This seem to do the job, I’ll be trying it soon. Thank you so much for sharing!

In the video, I especially liked the tip to add a URL to the description for the YouTube upload. THX, I’ll start using it.

Hi Julianne,

Nice heads up on Screenr. I have been looking for Screencasting software that doesn’t destroy my computers speed when I use it. Camtasia is sooo slow on my comp when trying to open new pages on the web… Really is quite tedious.

Thanks again!

Hi Benny, the only disadvantage with Screenr is that you can only do a 5 minute video. I use Camtasia a lot, and haven’t had that problem with slowness. Maybe there are too many applications open on your computer when you’re using Camtasia? Or, you’re computer might need a little maintenance – a defragment perhaps?

Julieanne,

Yes, I agree – video marketing is the wave of the future. This looks like a great tool…..is it free? I currently use Camtasia but it’s quite expensive. If Screenr is free it would be a great solution for many online marketers. I’ll be sure to keep it in mind and pass on the info to my friends and team members. Thanks!

Hi Kathy, Screenr is free, but it’s limited to 5 minute screencasts. I use Camtasia for longer videos also. However, Screenr is really convenient for short tutorials or things you find that you want to share with others.
