Google Analytics has a new script now, that they use to collect statistics on your website. I discovered something about this new script, that’s very useful for counting the number of times someone clicks on an outgoing link.

So, if you have a blog or a website, without a shopping cart, you can use google analytics easily, to count the number of times the link to your “buying website” is clicked.

For example, you may have a website like our Mangosteen Juice product site.

On that page, is a link to our Company website, where the shopping cart is found. We cannot insert google analytics or any tracking on the company website, because (naturally) it belongs to the company. There is too much potential risk for the company, if members were permitted to put javascript code on the site.

If you are using Google Adwords, google will allow you to install Google Analytics on your site. Once you’ve installed Google Analytics, make sure and use the New Script. Iinsert that script on your blog or website. Google provides instructions.

After inserting the Google Analytics code, you can see where your customers are coming from. That is, what keywords they are typing into “which” search engine, or what website they come from, to reach your online site.

Please post a comment if you have a question about this, or ask Google Help of course. They would be able to assist you better than I can.
