Network Marketing Internet Business
To build your network marketing internet business, it is important to find customers and business builders. Finding customers is usually a lot easier for network marketers, especially if you like the products a lot yourself. However, your business will grow much faster if you find business builders because they will help you expand your organization, as they grow their own business. For new (and also experienced) network marketers, it is quite often difficult to speak with prospects. We discuss the problem of speaking with prospects in your network marketing business and how it can be overcome.
There are a number of different approaches to take, when looking for prospects on the internet. The approach often depends on how well you know the prospect, and sometimes its harder to speak to people you already know, than to speak with strangers.
One of the most common approaches when building a business on the internet, is to purchase leads (people who have indicated they want to work from home) and to email these people messages about your business. Some network marketers keep sending the emails until the lead opts out or joins. In many cases, I’m sure the lead reports the message as unsolicited, and the messages go in the junk folder, never to be seen again.
Another approach is to use email in combination with the phone when approaching purchased leads. Network marketers send email messages and phone people to let them know the email has been sent. This approach used to work great about 6 or 7 years ago, when the deliverability of email was high, and when people did not receive so many messages in their inboxes.
Another approach is to call the lead and make an appointment with them, to talk about your opportunity. While on the phone talking to the prospect, the network marketer gives a presentation about the products and business opportunity. The prospect might ask a lot of questions, and you may spend half an hour to an hour with him or her. At the end of the presentation, the prospect is made to feel as though they have to make a decision to join or not.
An alternative approach to the above presentation, is to invite your prospects to a phone or webinar opportunity meeting, then call them afterwards to ask them if they want to join your team.
All of the above approaches have something in common. They all put pressure on the prospect to join the opportunity or not. There is no time to build a relationship with them.
If you set yourself up as a network marketing internet business consultant, there will be a lot less pressure on both the prospect and yourself. You can do a little research on different topics and present these in different places (more about that in another article) on the internet. People looking for a home business on the internet will be attracted to you, and will ask you to assist them. When you speak with them, instead of talking about the business, ask them questions about themselves. If they want to know about your business, send them your website or DVD and let the tools do the talking for you.
